Data Scientist, Driving Dynamics

The role

Corner Insights is the feature drivers quote back at us: "brake four metres later into turn 3 and stop coasting at the apex." Behind that sentence is a model trained on millions of laps. You'll make those callouts sharper, more trustworthy, and available on more circuits.

What you'll do

• Model where lap time is lost from brake, throttle and line data
• Build the reference-lap comparison metrics behind the delta view
• Validate insight quality against real driver improvement
• Work with coaching partners to codify what "faster" means per corner

What you'll bring

• Strong statistics + Python/Julia; time-series experience preferred
• The instinct to prefer an honest "we don't know" over a plausible guess
• Ability to explain a model to a driver in one sentence
• Bonus: motorsport, karting or sim-racing background

A conversation, a take-home on a real anonymised lap dataset (paid), and a review with the data team.
